FERMI at SRE 2025
1 minute

This year’s Security Research Event (SRE 2025) took place on 24–25 June at EXPO XXI in Warsaw, bringing together researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders to explore the future of European security. The central theme of the 2025 edition “Boosting Security through EU-Based Innovation” highlighted the importance of homegrown solutions to emerging security challenges.

FERMI was proud to take part in the event with its own stand, sharing a booth with its sister project VIGILANT. This collaboration offered visitors a unique opportunity to learn about how both projects are working to advance threat intelligence, enhance resilience, and protect European digital infrastructures.

Throughout the event, Nikos Dimakopoulos (FERMI’s Technical Manager, ITML) and Sven-Eric Fikenscher (Project Coordinator, BPA) were on hand at the FERMI stand, engaging with stakeholders, answering questions, and discussing FERMI’s innovative approach to security research.

They were joined by additional FERMI colleagues, including Spyros Evangelatos (INTRA), George Bravos (ITML), Andria Hadjithekli (IANUS), and Johanna Argillander (PUCF), who provided further insights into FERMI’s work and helped facilitate in-depth conversations with visitors.

FERMI’s active presence at SRE 2025 underlines the project’s commitment to collaboration, knowledge sharing, and EU-based innovation as key drivers for a more secure and resilient Europe.
