The FERMI consortium participated in two consecutive meetings organised by the Community for European Research and Innovation for Security (CERIS) in Brussels. The first gathering titled “Countering online identity theft and fake information” was held on 15 May 2025, whereas the “Disaster Resilience Days” took place from 19-21 May 2025.

On 1 April, law enforcement partners of the FERMI project gathered in Madrid for a hands-on workshop led by Immanence, focusing on one of the most pressing issues facing public service today: how to design and deploy technology, and particularly artificial intelligence, in a way that is ethical, inclusive, and socially responsible.

On 02-03 April 2025, the FERMI partners gathered in Madrid at the premises of Guardia Civil to hold their 6th major consortium meeting.

The development of an educational module that introduces the FERMI tools and technologies to all European Law Enforcement Authorities started in August 2024 at the Police University College (PUCF), Finland.

The FERMI project’s insights were shared at this year’s “Research and Innovation Symposium for European Security 2024” (RISE-SD 2024), which took place on 16-17 October in Chalkidiki, Greece.

On 24 and 25 September 2024, the Community for European Research and Innovation for Security’s (CERIS) annual gathering on Fighting Crime and Terrorism (FCT) was held in Brussels. The FERMI project coordinator Bavarian Police College (BPA) represented the consortium in the event.

The FERMI project consortium held its fifth major meeting online on 17 and 19 September 2024, attended by representatives from all partner organisations. Unlike previous in-person meetings, this one took place online and placed a special emphasis on tasks that started relatively recently (such as training, exploitation and policy recommendations).
