Guardia Civil is an armed institution of military nature accountable to two Spanish ministries: the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defense. Its main objective is the protection of citizens and their property and assets; its core mission consists of ensuring the full exercise of rights and freedoms. Guardia Civil activities cover administrative police, public order, criminal investigation, terrorism and intelligence services among others, with more than 80,000 officers deployed all over Spain and its territorial seas. In the FERMI project, Guardia Civil will collaborate as an end user as well as an advisor and evaluator of the platform and the use cases.
